The Issue:

We were approached by a consultancy team who had been commissioned to offer independent traffic analysis as part of a government project looking at port and infrastructure investment.

The Approach:

The customer needed to advise their clients on vessel movements at a specific countries ports, with extensive details on vessel characteristics and types. Lloyd’s List Intelligence were able to provide this as an extract of data, segmented by detailed cargo vessel types, tonnage and cargo capacity that have called into the countries ports.

The Outcome:

As Lloyd’s List Intelligence data is independent of official trade statistics, we were able to offer them a unique level of insight. This data was instrumental in the success of the project and they were able to comprehensively advise the transport department on the risks and future requirements associated with the countries port infrastructure.
