It’s easier to make sure your vessels are operating legally if all the conventions they must abide by are in one single, easy-to-access place.
How it works
No time is wasted researching in multiple locations or cross-referencing information about:
Our Ratification of Maritime Conventions (RATS) is the only single source of information in the UK that consolidates all the conventions of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and other related international conventions affecting today’s global shipping market.
It’s available in hardcopy and online format and is updated twice a year.
Included with each convention are accurate details of all ratifying states and approving countries – lists that are updated regularly online and in print twice a year. In RATS you can also see which version of the SOLAS Convention’s safety standards apply to your vessel.
RATS is published with the Institute of Maritime Law, University of Southampton and in consultation with the IMO.
Available in print and via i-law.com.
