Editor, Lloyd's List Containers and Chair of Panel

James Baker has been working as a business specialist for most if his journalistic career. He is editor of Lloyd’s List Containers, formerly Containerisation International, and writes containers news for Lloyd’s List, covering carriers, terminals, shippers and regulation.

Having worked for many years as a journalist writing about business, telecoms and IT, James joined Informa in 2003. He was shortlisted as International Editor of the Year in the Seahorse Journalism awards in 2016.

Hugo Wynn-Wiliams

Hugo Wynn-Williams
Chairman, Thomas Miller Holdings Ltd.

Hugo joined Thomas Miller in 1978. A member of the Thomas Miller Holdings Board since incorporation in 1999, Hugo was elected Chairman of Thomas Miller Holdings in June 2009 in which capacity he also has oversight of a number of Thomas Miller’s international businesses.

He was CEO of the UK P&I Club from 2004 to 2018 and Chairman of the International Group of P&I Clubs from 2015 to 2018. As Chairman of Thomas Miller P&I, he provides leadership to, and management of, the Board of the Club liaising between the Board and the Managers alongside the CEO, ensuring it operates effectively in achieving its strategic objectives.

Jack Westwood

Jack Westwood-Booth
Senior Deputy Director, Sub-Division for Marine Technology and Cargoes, Maritime Safety Division, International Maritime Organization (IMO)

Jack Westwood-Booth is a Senior Deputy Director in the Maritime Safety Division at the International Maritime Organization (IMO), a specialized agency of the United Nations. He is responsible for the Subdivision on Marine Technology and Cargoes, which manages three technical Sub-Committees tasked with the development of international maritime standards related to marine engineering, naval architecture and the carriage of hazardous cargoes.



Laurent Audaz
Head of P&I Insurance, Legal & Claims, MSC

Laurent Audaz is Head of P&I Insurance, Legal and Claims at MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company SA, Geneva, the second largest container shipping company worldwide. He previously spent fifteen years in Hamburg, Germany, as Legal Manager for another major shipping line. During the course of Laurent’s 25 years of professional experience, he has gained an in-depth knowledge of cargo misdeclaration issues in the supply chain as well as the of the legal context surrounding these issues in various countries. Laurent Audaz is lawyer by education and studied/practiced law in France, England, Belgium, Germany, Norway and Switzerland. He is holder of Postgraduate Diplomas in International Business Law, European Compared Law and Transport Law.
