Personalised geospatial tools
Helping you identify new business opportunities or monitor vessel movement
Reducing risk and developing your business requires a granular and personalised view of vessel movements from regional, right down to berth level, so Lloyd’s List intelligence have introduced geospatial tools to allow you to do just this.
The new Lloyd’s List Intelligence service allows you to draw an area of any shape or size you require directly onto the Lloyd’s List Intelligence map and monitor vessel movements in and out of this area. You can receive alerts on these vessels and share your geospatial zones with your colleagues.
ECA and risk geospatial tools
Geospatial zones to monitor vessel movement risk
The new Lloyd’s List intelligence service allows you to access pre-drawn selections for:
- Emission Control Areas: Allowing you to identify vessels that comply with environmental regulations.
- Lloyd’s War Risk Zones: Identify sanctions breaches for trade, insurance and legal risk assessments.
Alerts for geospatial zones allow the information to come straight to your inbox, saving you time and ensuring you are always on top of vessel movements that affect your business.
Global port mapping
Monitor voyage efficiency and decipher cargos
The next generation Lloyd’s List Intelligence includes detailed mapping of more than 80 of the world’s largest commodity ports, giving you a granular view of port activity, right down to berth level.
You can set up alerts for vessels entering and leaving these ports, berths and terminals to ensure you have all of the latest information on trading activity.
You are able to see not only port callings, but berth and terminal callings, allowing you to:
- Monitor which vessels call at specific terminal operators for due-diligence
- Evaluate berth and terminal turnaround times for operational needs
- Determine trading activity of vessels by understanding the types of terminals they call at
We will be adding further mapping for more of the world’s ports through the rest of 2017 and beyond.

Upgrading our proprietary AIS network
Increasing the granularity of our voyage data
As data usage increases steadily in the maritime world, Lloyd’s List Intelligence is committed to remaining the reference point for high quality vessel movements data.
We have upgraded our existing terrestrial AIS receiver network which means you have increased granularity for a more accurate view of current and historical vessel movements. The new AIS receiver equipment used in our proprietary network can collect and process more unique vessel and vessel movement data than ever before.
What's next for Lloyd's List Intelligence customers?
